ChainCade announced integration with Chainlink

ChainCade announced last Monday, December 6, through its Twitter account, its integration with Chainlink VRF, which, according to the company, allows generating random loot boxes for prize boxes, randomized mint NFTs and quite select raffle winners.

According to the company, ChainCade puts a spin on retro arcade-style games through a unique combination of tokens, NFT, and backend functions that allow players to play and win prizes. The “Play to Win” ecosystem currently under development by ChainCade provides a solid platform for gamers and creators alike. Players can win exclusive collections of NFTs, tokens, digital gift cards, and more through randomized reward boxes, in which users open boxes to win a wide range of prizes. The upcoming “Retroverse” will tie together various aspects of the project to create a nostalgia-driven metaverse experience, allowing players to customize and play in a virtual world.

The company explained that to ensure the arcade experience is fair, transparent and tamper-proof, we needed access to a secure Random Number Generator (RNG) that any user could independently audit to create fairly random NFTs for collections, determine prizes in Prize Boxes, select raffle winners, and more. After reviewing various solutions, we selected Chainlink VRF because it is based on state-of-the-art academic research, backed by a time-tested Oracle infrastructure and secured by generating and on-chain verification of cryptographic tests that test the integrity of every supplied random number. to smart contracts.

In his view, Chainlink VRF works by combining block data that is still unknown when the request is made with the Oracle nodes previously compromised private key to generate both a random number and a cryptographic proof. The ChainCade smart contract will only accept random number input if it has valid cryptographic proof. Cryptographic proof can only be generated if the VRF process is tamper-proof. This process helps provide our users with automated and verifiable assurances directly in the chain that ChainCade is provably fair and cannot be altered by the oracle, outside entities, or the ChainCade team.
