Astar Network announced this Friday, February 11, through its Twitter account, the $100 million Astar Boost program. According to the company, this is a $100 million fund to provide liquidity, financial support, an incentive program and much more.
“Astar Network, the multi-chain #Build2Earn smart contract hub in Polkadot, has announced the Astar Boost Program, a $100 million fund to provide liquidity, financial support, an incentive program and much more. The program introduces more applications, assets and users in the rapidly growing ecosystem of Astar”, he said through an article published on the Medium platform.
The company explained that Astar Network is a dApp hub on Polkadot that supports Ethereum, WebAssembly, and Layer 2 solutions like ZK Rollups. Enabled EVM on January 17, 2022, and raised over $500M TVL, the largest TVL among Polkadot smart contract protocols.
“Astar Network core team welcomes more DeFi users and DeFi projects who want to build on Astar Network. Astar boost program is made to support those users and projects. Celer cBridge recently partnered with Astar Network to bridge cross-chain messages and assets. Assets in Ethereum, Polygon, BSC and Shiden Network have already been bridged by cBridge. cBridge plans to offer more attractive incentives to transfer assets from Ethereum, Polygon and other L1 chains to the Astar Network by taking advantage of this Astar Boost program”, he added.
According to the company, in this way, projects that want to contribute to the Astar ecosystem can take advantage of this program to grow in number of users and volume. Users can benefit from it and enjoy the Astar ecosystem more, mainly in the DeFi area. (You can explore Astar DeFi products by sending your unlocked ASTR from your native address to your EVM wallet like Metamask.) We hope that the Astar Boost program will help the ecosystem grow significantly.
“Astar Network will support projects that commit financially to Astar through the Astar Boost program as well as dApp Staking, our original incentive system for developers. We hope to grow quickly together. Through this program, our community will be additionally rewarded for their activity on the chain”, said Sota Watanabe, founder of Astar Network.
